OFF THE WALL (Consultant/Creator of Community Conversation Facilitation Guide)

Off the Wall is a city-wide initiative led by WonderRoot and the Atlanta Super Bowl Host Committee taking place from June 2018 through February 2019. Through murals, media, and community conversations Off the Wall will share elements of Atlanta’s civil rights and social justice journey, elevating key stories and ideas present in our city’s pursuit of civil rights, human rights and a more equitable future for all Atlantans.

Nine muralists selected by our Artist Selection Committee will work with community partners to design and install artworks that represent the long journey toward this brighter future

Off the Wall murals will be developed through a series of direct, facilitated community conversations using a facilitator's guide developed by WonderRoot and Carlton Mackey, Director, Ethics & Arts, Emory University as well as Dr. Karcheik Sims-Alvarado, founder of Preserve Black Atlanta
