The Co-Directors of Black Men Smile® speak at 2018 Forward Conference in Long Island City. The conference allowed the directors to be around industry thought-leaders as well as reconnect with a few good brothers and sisters from previous conferences.
Young Kings is a rites of passage course designed to nurture middle school boys' voices and invest in their visions. During each meeting they will engage in discussions, activities and reflections that focus on an array of themes including self-exploration & discovery, community building, nonviolent communication, creative expression, collaborative leadership, community service and self-love.
Emory University Ethics & the Arts Program Director and Black Men Smile™ creator Carlton Mackey leads a post-play conversation about Art, Ethics, and Education after the performance of EXIT STRATEGY by Kenny Leon's True Colors Theatre Company in Atlanta, GA at the Southwest Performing Arts Center.
